Daniel Grimwood - Piano/harpsichord
A renowned and versatile chamber musician and a captivating soloist in his own right, Daniel Grimwood is carving out a niche for himself in the world of (Romantic) period performance which began with a critically acclaimed recording of Liszt’s Années de Pèlerinage on an 1851 Erard . He brings to this festival his own Erard, once owned by Moscheles.

Adam Johnson - Piano
Equally at home on the podium, Adam runs his own Northern Lights Symphony Orchestra which regularly perform all over London. An incredibly versatile pianist either as soloist or chamber musician his natural talent has taken him all over the world. He is also a composer having taken a Masters degree at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Dan Bates - Oboe
Actor as well as musician, Dan has played guest principal for all the London orchestras and performed concertos with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players and the English Chamber Orchestra. He was the youngest ever winner of the Royal Overseas League Competition going on to win two major international competitions, in Italy and Romania.

Victoria Sayles - Violin
A leader of many orchestras both in the UK and Scandinavia, Victoria is equally at home as a chamber musician or soloist, developing a fine reputation for her natural musical flair and vibrant stage personality. She regularly tours the UK in recital with her pianist Martin Cousins and plays on a 1776 ‘Thir’ violin.

Marcus Barcham-Stevens - Violin
Having received starred First Class Honours in Music from Cambridge University and the Diploma for Advanced Instrumental Studies from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Marcus has developed an eminent career particularly as a period instrumentalist in both chamber and orchestral repertoire. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore hall, Bridgewater Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham and on the South Bank.

Ilyoung Chae - Violin
A graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, the Royal College of Music Junior Department and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she graduated with First-Class Honours, Ilyoung is developing a career is a fine chamber musician having performed in many eminent festivals and concert halls. She plays on a Francesco Celoniatus 1730 Turin violin.

Guy Johnston - Cello
One of the leading cellists of his generation, Guy has forged a fine reputation as both chamber musician and soloist, having performed as soloist with many of the world’s great orchestras. He is a founder member of the award-winning Aronowitz Ensemble and is a Professor of Cello at the Royal Academy of Music.

Denitsa Laffchieva - Clarinet
Making her début as a soloist at the age of 14 in the Great Bulgaria Hall with the Sophia Philharmonic she then went on to record the Mozart Clarinet Concerto aged just 18. She has toured extensively throughout Europe, Japan and Middle East, performing as a soloist with the major European orchestras.

Alexander Zemtsov - Viola
Principal Viola of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Alexander is also active as a soloist and in chamber music, performing regularly with the Razumovsky and Aronowitz Ensembles as well as the Hermitage String Trio. He is Viola Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and has recorded for the Naxos, Chandos and LPO live labels.

Min-Jin Kym - Violin
Making her international debut aged thirteen with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Min-Jin went on to debut in London at the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican and Queen Elizabeth halls. She has recorded both the Brahms and Beethoven concertos with the Philharmonia for Sony and the City of Seoul has named Ms Kym as a Goodwill Ambassador.

Caroline Henbest - Viola
Past Principal Viola with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Caroline has performed concertos all over the world and has led many of the UK and Australian orchestras. Chamber music is a great passion and has participated in many international festivals. Caroline now lives in Melbourne where she teaches at the Australian National Academy of Music.

Simon Browne - Viola/violin
As a principal violinist with the Northern Sinfonia, under the direction of Thomas Zehetmair, he gained a reputation as a fine interpreter of Baroque and Classical concerti. Simon now teaches and performs at the University of Trinidad & Tobago Academy for the Performing Arts and is a versatile chamber musician on both violin and viola.

Graham Mitchell - Double-bass
A graduate and Professor of Double-bass at the Royal Northern College of music, Graham was awarded an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music for outstanding achievement in the music profession. He was with the Philharmonia for many years and has performed as soloist and chamber musician in many international festivals and venues.

Robin Michael - Cello
Straddling both contemporary and early music, Robin is much in demand as soloist and chamber music as well as orchestral, being principal cello of the Orchestra Révolutionnaire et Romantique as well as guest principal of many other orchestras. He has also recorded works by Ginastera, Schoenberg, Korngold and Zemlinsky for NAXOS.
